The primary regular racing activity for the Dallas Snipe Fleet 001 is our Long Course Series where we join the Sunday afternoon Corinthian Sailing Club racing program, rigging up around 12:00, leaving the dock around 1:10 and making it to a starting line by 1:30 where we either have our own start or start with on of the other fleets, depending upon the number of Snipes in attendance. Finishes are recorded and the top skipper at the end of the season (November 2023-October 2024) is awarded the annual Fleet Championship Trophy.
We also hold Short Course Series races on Saturday mornings, rigging at 10:00 AM, except in July and August when we rig at 8:00 AM to escape the afternoon heat. Click here for a copy of the detailed sailing instructions for 2024 for both Fleet Championship Series and the Short Course Series.
Beginner and novice instruction sessions are held at 6:00 pm on each Thursday evening at the CSC Pavilion during the months of daylight savings time.
Racing rules sessions (for all levels) are held at different times during the year.
Fleet meetings are held at 7:00 pm on the second Wednesday of each month (except December) in the CSC clubhouse or at a fleet member's home, including social time and a potluck supper.
